nACo Blue is an advanced PVD coating based on an AlTiSiN nanocomposite structure, offering high hardness and high-temperature resistance. Thanks to its nanocomposite structure, it provides high wear resistance combined with superior thermal stability.
The silicon contained in the coating structure promotes the dispersion of very fine nanocrystalline nitride phases within an amorphous matrix, contributing to increased coating hardness and structural stability at high temperatures. This structure enables nACo Blue to provide effective wear protection, particularly for cutting tools operating at high cutting speeds and under high mechanical loads.
Thanks to its high-temperature and oxidation resistance, nACo Blue is suitable for dry and minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) machining operations. It helps reduce the tendency of adhesion between the cutting tool and workpiece, protect the cutting edge, and extend tool life.
nACo Blue can be used for machining carbon steels, alloy steels, and high-hardness steels. It delivers particularly high performance when machining heat-treated tool steels with hardness levels above 55 HRC. It is preferred for milling and drilling applications where high hardness, wear resistance, and thermal stability are required simultaneously.
